A mask is a separate file along with your regular artwork that that will show us exactly where you want the special options to be applied. There are 2 ways to do this:

2) These files must be at 100% black and white(no colors!). The black will represent where the spot uv, foil or embossing will be placed almost like a template over your regular artwork. The white will represent areas that will NOT be uv'ed, stamped or embossed.

All spot uv, foiling and embossing is done "blind" meaning after the cut so it may rarely shift up to an 1/16th of an inch. Do not align artwork against or under the embossing or foiling due to this shift. All embossing and foiling must be with in the safe area (as shown in our downloadabletemplates) and can not bleed over the edges - however, spot uv can go beyond the safe areas.

• Avoid using thin fonts and very thin lines for foil stamping and embossing. Foil stamping and embossing areas must be at a minimum of 10pt thickness.

If you have foiling with UV please keep the foil 1/8" from any UV. If UV is placed under any of the foiling it will tend to flake off so please check your artwork carefully. Feel free to contact us below for technical support.
